Sprok breaks up

Unfortunately, yes, Sprok has broken up. However, in a brilliant marketing move, the founding members of Sprok then formed a new band called Spork!!

Spork has not officially broken up. We're all still on good terms. However, the reason we haven't "updated the site" or "practiced recently" is due to the fact that we're currently all working on side projects. I'm sure that in the near future the desire to get Spork back together to "play" will overcome our desire to "not be in the same room together" and "get over our big egos."

But seriously...we're not dead yet. We're currently in a state of flux because our usual practice area is no longer available to us. We're currently looking for a new place to practice (even if it means renting a studio) but the process is slow as we're all pretty lazy.

I can't speak for everyone in the band (but I think I do) when I say that Spork intends to record ALL of the good songs we've ever written.

So to finally answer your question, we have no idea when our new album is coming out. However, as we eventually start practicing again we'll surely be filled with the desire to record our old songs and the new songs that jam sessions invariably end up creating. We/I have plans for making this possible by creating our own home demo recording studio but that's a ways in the future.

As we record new tracks, we'll be sure to post them on the site for all twelve of our fans including you, Jim Chamber!!
