After years of proper names only, followed by months of suggestions and polling, Spork bassist Mark Newman finally has a nickname to hang his hat on.
Now, when Blaise, gNate, and Admiral Duck Sauce take to the stage, they will be joined by...
STIMEY!
The winning entry was sent in by Foxy Vandenburg, who will be the first Spork fan ever to receive a boss new sticker. Placed in a spot of prominence in the home or office, this sticker will not only win you friends, and the admiration of strangers, but it will likely add 3 years to your life.
"Stimey" got 36.4% of the vote, which gave it a landslide victory over closest opponent "Fartsie McPoopypants," which received 18.2% of votes.
"This truly is a momentous occasion in the life of Spork. Today, Mark is truly a 'new man!' HA! Get it?! New Man? His last name is Newman! Man, that's good stuff. I just came up with that. Top of my head. Anybody else hungry?" Spork frontman Blaise St. Amand said.
As for Stimey himself, while he could not be reached for comment, a source close to the rocker said he was not only excited about the new nickname, but also slightly tired.
